Fiber Optics

This offer provides beneficiaries with access to the fiber optic network built under the Azores project, based on two topologies, point-to-multipoint and point-to-point, the first being supported by PON technology.

The offer, which provides the fibre optic connection between Access Aggregation Points and the facilities of end customers, will allow the beneficiaries of the offer to support the most varied retail services, including advanced triple-play offers.

Advanced Bitstream

This offer provides end-to-end Ethernet connectivity and speeds of up to 100 Mbps, between the network of any entity benefiting from the offer and the facilities of its end customer, supported by GPON technology in the access and Ethernet in the aggregation component.

Access is made available to multiple beneficiaries of the offer and is centralised, allowing them to provide retail services across the entire network. The support platform has been sized to ensure a minimum throughput of 40 Mbps.
