Der Clube de Golf Santo da Serra ist mit seiner nat\u00fcrlichen Umgebung, die sich von den gr\u00fcnen Bergen Madeiras bis zur Bucht von Machico erstreckt, ein wahres Paradies f\u00fcr alle Liebhaber des Golfsports.
Etwa 15 Minuten vom Flughafen Madeira entfernt, verf\u00fcgt dieser 1937 er\u00f6ffnete und 1991 vom Architekten Robert Trent Jones Sr. neu gestaltete Platz \u00fcber 27 L\u00f6cher, die auf drei Strecken verteilt sind: den \u201eSerras Course\u201c, wo die Natur mit Ihnen begegnet, den \u201eMachico Course\u201c, der die \u201eWiege\u201c der Insel \u00fcberblickt, und den \u201eDesertas Course\u201c, wo der Atlantik in der Ferne von den drei kleinen Inseln im S\u00fcdosten Madeiras sanft abgegrenzt wird.<\/p>\n

Insgesamt hat der Clube de Golf Santo da Serra eine Gesamtl\u00e4nge von 9003 Metern. Er wird einerseits von tiefen, gewundenen T\u00e4lern begrenzt, die die eindrucksvollste Topographie des Archipels darstellen, und andererseits von Seen und Bunkern, die die Golfer auffordern, sich bei jeder Runde selbst zu \u00fcbertreffen. Der Hintergrund bildet immer eine unvergleichliche Landschaft.
Es handelt sich also um einen Platz mit ausgezeichneten Bedingungen.
